Listening to BarcarolleI am taken to a lake where I feel all is right in the world and I’m filled with happiness and a touch of curiosity of the unknown. I am sailing down the lake and to my surprise I am taken off the path into adventure here is where it starts to Crescendo into my delight and imagination of what to come. Adagio then into the waterfall then a dash of moderato then presto into the Idea. I’m here, I’ve made it, I am alive! I fall over the waterfall into the ocean. I am free only to awake in my home in quarantine. I can’t help but think of a time when I was at home in my youth and imagined I was on a boat somewhere in the ocean.

Going into A Night for Love I am going somewhere in the city not looking for Love when out of the corner of my eye I see the most beautiful Woman I have ever seen. I walk slowly with the soft piano towards her to my surprise she is frightened by me and flees. Through the streets I chase almost hit by cars and running into people into the crescendo of the piano. She looks back occasionally and smiles it makes me chase further stepping in mud holes and tripping into the gutter. It starts to get ridiculous. I am tired and sit down under a tree the Woman gets smaller and smaller……she’s gone. I felt sad listening to this song it had brung back old girlfriend memories. But it was so moving I loved it.

Listening with TearsI can see the sadness and how its not perfect the notes. I feel scared when it goes Allegro but it is far from Joyful I envision being in the forest all alone scared and sad. There’s a man in a cape and a tail behind him looking for me. Somehow I know he’s coming but there’s nothing I do. I am waiting to embrace whatever the scary man is going to show me. Only to wait and wait but there’s no one there and somehow I wish there was and then Tears I am alone. This reminded me of Los Angeles and how when I grew up it was kind of scary but sometimes I enjoyed the fear or anticipation of it.

Russian Easterstarts off Fortissimo and stays that way I love it is it nature? At first when it starts I see Dandelion seeds blowing through the air reaching the ocean then whales swimming and crashing up and down into the water then the dandelions blow over land and lions and wildebeest run in Africa. The dandelions reach a Mountainous region and land on top of a Mountain. I felt happy and excited when I heard this the piece was simply wonderful. This reminded me when I went to the beach and sat at the edge of a huge rock atop a cliff and looked down at the crashing waves and was in ahh of its power.

My favorite piece was “Barcarolle” I liked the melody, tempo and the adventure it brings and invites to the listener.
